LIBRARY
NFAJ collects and preserves all the materials related to films. The library on the 4th floor is open to the public, making accessible literature about films. On requesting, you can also copy the materials in our collection. To check when the Library is open, see below.

- Fill in the application form (複写申請書) and submit it to the counter.
Notice
- You can apply for copying up to 5 items (up to 50 pages in total) at a time. Only one copy for each item is allowed.
- You can apply for copying only the items in the NFAJ collection.
- You can copy the items within the limits of Copyright Law. When copying a copyrighted item, you can copy up to only half of it.
- Except the ones whose publication was discontinued, you cannot copy the latest issues of periodicals.
- Some items cannot be copied due to damage, deterioration and other reasons.
Reader Service
NFAJ Library has the collection of more than 50,000 items including books, magazines, brochures for film festivals held in Japan and movie brochures. Reference books and the latest issues of magazines are in the open stacks in the Reading Room. The other books and magazines are in closed stacks. Fill in the application form (閲覧申請書) to access the materials in closed stacks.
The materials in our collection cannot be taken outside the Library.
